I was just thinking of how unimaginably much better life in and for the United States would have to be for a president or candidate to use "Happy Days Are Here Again" as a campaign song. Yet, it's the Democratic Party's unofficial theme song, apparently. That's unfortunate. It's like Johnny Carson having to come on to "Love in Bloom" because his theme song's out of place. Wait, let me offer an even more dated reference! It's like Marie Lloyd having to sing "Burlington Bertie from Bow" because "Oh Mr Porter" was inappropriate.
